BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!

Apr 29, 2005 00:41

It has truly been a great week.

Aside from being the hummous critic at the Spoon's (and I'm not even Arab!), we had mushroom pizza, I learned how to be a tea snob, we went super outfit shopping (for birthday debauchery) in Monterey, I got my turkish coffee fortune told, went for a ride in the Fiat with Cat Stevens and the Pacific Ocean (and Maeh's pennies), shared a Ghiradelli's Banana Split, AND got my name on the birthday cake (and got 2 presents!). And that was just the weekend!

Monday was a relaxing day (sort of-- I had a midterm though), recovering from Monterey fun and preparing for birthday debauchery. Tuesday was VERY fun. After classes and my 1:1, we went to the DC and Diana gave me the best gift EVER, the JEFF BUCKLEY RECORD (YES, VINYL!!!!!!!) of Grace, and it even features a "secret hidden track" on a 7" that I've never heard before!!!!!! Quite a feat. The sticker on the cover says "A MASTERPIECE-- ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE 90s." And she got me a hilarious card. Oh, that Diana Bowen! Then I got to open Chris' present-- a STUFFED UNICORN WITH A GREEN HORN, some canned Izze, some Gellie wondow decs and lots of other fun stuff. Chris knows how to provide for his wifey.

A few hours later, we 21ers were off to Froggy's-- which, let me tell you, is completely dead on Tuesday nights. The bartender made me do a Blow Job, which is this disgusting shot in a glass twice as big as a regular shot. Then, they put a friggin buttload of whipped cream on it, and make you take it without using your hands. Basically, I choked on the whipped cream and spit it out all over the bar. Whoops! But that's what the bartender deserved for making me embarrass myself with that nasty shot! Then I had a Long Island. But a little bit of whipped cream from the BJ got on my new skank shirt. :( Now I'll have to dry clean it, but I'm glad I wore it because Marcie and Joey commented on how amazing my boobs are. Ha!

Then, we went to Cantina and had more drinks, it was fun watching Spoon do her BJ. Gavin bought me a white Russian, and I spilled half of it but that was probably for the best, as he was trying to get us both as drunk as possible. Then, Gavin bought me a Guinness, which was the best thing I had all night. The Spoonichellevin SLAUGHTERED "Hello Goodbye" karaoke style, and it was fun! By then, we were pretty faded. And we crashed at Carina's. (I love using this frat boy alcohol lingo!)

Wednesday morning, we walked back from Carina's, and I almost missed my Teach For America interview because I "got a flat tire." Then I hustled over to classy SRA lunch, and got yelled at for being late again. UGGGGGGHHHH I hate not having my precious bike (which got left at the Art Building!!! I didn't really have a flat tire...) Then I had to write "750 words" which really turned into more like 100 words, and then I had to be a SAAC Girl. Then, I ditched class at 4, and went back to start getting ready for dinner at 6 (and check email and do work and stuff).

Dinner at Sophia's was GLORIOUS, I have never felt so popular in my life-- it was Joey, Chew, Fork, Megan, Nikko, Stacey Cox, Maura, Chris, Spoon, Me, Tish, Tiffany, Diana, Menisha, Ali, Chong, and even Pants! Basically Spoon and me got married, we even had toasts from Best Man Chris, and Matron of Honor Maura. And we sat on the floor in the "Thai Room!" It was great. Megan had a great and exciting gift for us, leis filled with butterfingers, cowboys and indians, birthday candles, and okra seeds. Very fun!!! Then, we rushed off to staff meeting and meditated and decoupaged for Chris and Cindy's devo, then Menisha and I were off to Sophia's with Joey, Spoon, Maura, and Gnome. It was great fun and boy is Menisha a fun drunk!!! And I had this great drink called a Midori, it was delicious and green. And we saw hott English Major Dan, and Davis Celebrity Lamar!!! Then we walked to Woodstocks and got a free Mushroom pizza cause they messed up our order. Yay!

Today, I worte my paper ALL DAY LONG at Starbuck's (thanks D-Bozz for the star Bucks!!!) Then, i rushed off to class because I thought my bike was still missing, and then after class got out I wandered to go find it-- so frustrating. Then I walked to tercero so the lovely Spoon could drive me to WaMu, and then I went to go do my SAAC shift. Then, we hung out in the SAAC, I read 2 pages of Dubliners, and went to go watch Apprentice and ER. We are semi-planning the camping trip now-- trying to keep it open enough to play by ear, but still have enough structure to actually get things done. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FUN I CAN BARELY STAND IT!!! OH, I CAN'T WAIT!!!! More updates to come.... uggghh that was exhausting. :)

Love, Michelle
