"Yes." He nodded and motioned for her to have a seat. As he looked up from his notes, he looked her over -- trying so hard to be careful. To not allow himself to linger too long on certain body parts.
"I was wondering if you had chosen a topic for your independent study yet..."
Smiling slightly, she pulled back the sleeves of her sweater, adjusting the band of her watch. She had picked it out specifically this morning because it had a dial - although that was a terrible waste of time in her mind.
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about that. I've been thinking it over and I have a few ideas, none of which are very, um, library oriented. I was thinking the psychology of WalMart shoppers after 11pm...it would require a bit of observation on my part, but I think I could handle it."
Propping herself against the desk directly across from his, she smirked "what do you think, professor? Do you have any...suggestions?" She looked him directly in the eye, daring him to come up with something more interesting.

His eyes moved to her watch and he tried to suppress the smile -- so she HAD caught on. Very good.
"Well...before I...suggest...something. Why don't you tell me how this study is going to better academia..."
