Things are just different here. Power tends to vary more wildly, bad guys tend to be smarter, and sometimes I can't just... get there and help in time.

Sometimes I just don't know about it. Sometimes my friends haven't known they were in danger until it was too late. But it won't stop me from trying to protect everyone I care about.

It was easier back home. All the villains we fought were on a battlefield. None of this "could strike at any moment" stuff. If trouble found you, it's because you were looking for it, normally...

Things were easier in our world. I didn't have to worry about guys running away when I tried to kick their ass. But that's all they like to do here.

Problem is, it nullifies all of our powers too. Kekfa might be a joke without his magic, but guys like Yuber are supposedly masters at melee combat. Without our own abilities, that may be a fight we can't win.
