Boy Heroes in Manga: Ciel Phantomhive
12 year old Ciel Phantomhive (of Kuroshitsuji) has been through a lot in his short life. [spoiler alert] His parents killed, his house burned down, tortured and tormented…and then, in a fit of God-hating frustration, he makes a contract with a demon, whom he names Sebastian. Sebastian is supposed to keep him alive until he enacts his version of revenge, and then, Sebastian will eat Ciel’s soul in exchange.
In the meantime, Ciel has inherited not only the leadership of the Funtom Toy Company, but also the role of the Queen’s Watchdog; he’s the leader of England’s underworld in Victorian times. And as such, he must solve any mysteries which vex Her Majesty. This leads him and Sebastian into many adventures, which form the bulk of the story arcs in Kuroshitsuji.

- his eyepatch covers the eye which displays the contract mark; eyepatches are so cool! Eyeballs with pentacles on them are even cooler!

- cruel and vindictive; no wonder Sebastian seems to love him madly
