Ah, to continue my GFantasy magazine subscription or not? That is the question. I got a 6 month sub for $55 which is quite a deal. But the deal means each issue comes about 1 month after it is actually released in Japan. Yet I can't justify paying double that for an air mail sub. It would be different if I were a Raw provider, I suppose, but I'm

And I don't know what to do about your subscription either. If I was you, and I wanted to further my Japanese, I would probably keep on with the sub. Just because I'm obsessive. And I've spent my life not being able to buy merchandise, I'll go crazy when I get my own place XD
But space is also an issue. Eh, if you are buying Yen Press' piece of crap (only PH) volume by volume then I would probably stop the subscription. Does a part of that go back to GFantasy too? I'm not sure. It certainly goes back to the mangaka.
EIther way, there's a truckload of people supporting the magazine that are able to read it to actually enjoy it, rather than study. But that brings back the question of how easily are you able to read it? Or is it helping you learn? How much do you want to learn?
If you keep getting them, where will you put them?
I don't know what you should do, but I hope I brought up some good points??
Does this mean that you read the chapters when they show up online and for download and then a month later you get the magazine with those same chapters?

Yes that is exactly it! And I buy the PH and Kuroshitsuji volumes when they come out in English. And the PH volumes when they come out in Japanese, too. So I definitely have a dearth of material. I'm not learning much Japanese from these magazines I'm afraid. I learn the most attempting to translate PH each month. And for that I am stuck using the raws someone else posted, since by the time mine comes along it is already scanlated and my motivation goes down.
I am thinking I should just save the money...I'll inevitably spend it on some other manga/anime related merch. If I cut the GFantasy sub, all I'm really missing is (a) big, original Japanese pages, (b) the 'gift' that comes with each issue, which half the time appears to be a Kuroshitsuji writing implement, and (c) the occasional cool color insert or bonus thing like the alternate volume 13 cover for PH.
My eye: I thought it was just a sty but it has been bugging me for days. Hopefully it is not gearing up to be infected like my other eye was a few months ago.

Alternate volume 13 cover? I haven't seen this. Share!
Ew. I woke up with a sty this morning, but mine's probably just a sty.
