As promised I've taken a brief recess from lj. Well..sort of, I started a new one full of...everything in my lil head. Single words. Poems. Thoughts on life and love and all of it. I'm reading this amazing novel "The book of laughter and forgetting". I found it in a bin for a dollar. I swear sometimes books find you, right when you need them to. It deals with communism and russia and czech and...it's so hard to explain. If you've ever seen nine lives you'd understand. It's written in seven sections. The first is entitled "lost letters" and it's about this one mans life. Each "letter (which arn't letter like at all)" are all written from a different perspective. Sometimes his. Sometimes a third person narrative....some are historical explinations...it just goes back and forth...and the next chapter jumps into the middle of someone elses life completely with no background whatsoever..it's unlike anything else I've ever read and I love it.
I went grocery shopping and came home with crutons, block cheese, cigarettes and granola bars.
