Yesterday was WiL and I's third wedding anniversary. We decided last week that we'd head out to Kings Island for the day since we both love rollercoasters so much AND it was only three hours away. To keep things in perspective - I've never been on anything bigger then what they have at Indiana Beach - my family didn't get out much.
Here's a review for the ones we had time to go on.
Vortex: Scary as hell for me. Wil went on this one twice - I sat out for the second time. I can only deal with going upside down so many times.
The Beast: Rode this 3 times. Longest wooden roller coaster in the world and incredibly fun. I have the most fun on the coasters that don't spend all their time flipping you around - I'm all about speed and this one definately has speed.
Invertigo: The scariest one for me. The suspended roller coasters scare the living shit out of me, add going around in circles and that spells trouble. This was the only ride that when I got up I really regretted getting on. But afterwards I didn't regret it much at all - it's always fun to get the piss scared out of you! And if I didn't ride a ride that I was really uncomfortable with - then the trip was a failure as far as I'm concerned!
Flight of Fear: Holy awesome. I loved this ride so much. We had a couple of inversions on this ride, but it was in complete darkness so I didn't get as motion sick as I would otherwise. Add to the fact that it was linear induction coaster AND is air conditioned.... well. This one and The Beast are having a huge toss up as to which one was my favorite.
The Racer: This one looks piddly. I thought it'd be a an easyride. Well looks are decieving - this coaster was soooo fast. It's an old wooden one so it really tosses you around. Looks innocent but isn't.
Flight Deck: Rode this right after lunch. It was pretty intense but it was a good after lunch one for me. It was really fun and a little more tame then the others - at least it seemed that way to me.
Adventure Express: A pretty tame coaster mainly designed for people to ride with kids. This was also right after lunch. The scenery and track for it was really fun. I liked it.
We were really disappointed that Son of The Beast and The Crypt were closed. The line for the Firehawk was an hour long so we skipped that one this time. Overall an awesome anniversary <3 Though I'm definately sore in the back and neck from that one!!
