Alright. I need to finish with the packy and get outta here. It's weird to think that everyone who's moving will move while i'm gone, for the most part. No one will be where i've left them. (Well, that's a bit of an overstatement, but you know what i mean.)

The answer to the question i've been asked quite a bit turns out to be no, i won't be going to GenCon. At the moment, we're aiming for getting back that Sunday, assuming nothing goes drastically wrong over the week *crosses fingers*.

And finally, two bits of Radio Oracle news: The first is that this afternoon, when i got into the car to go meet up with ninja_turbo, the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go" came on the radio, and i realized that it's a pretty lousy song to use as a decision-making tool in this case. Good thing i'd already decided. The other is, i'm not at all surprised that once we really looked at it, the decision for me to go was rather easy and "duh"-like--as i was driving home yesterday, after finding out from Surly that he was leaving and i was welcome to go, the song "Free Ride" came on the radio.

The mountain is high, the valley is low
And you're confused on which way to go
So i flew here to give you a hand
And lead you into the promised land

So, come on and take a free ride
Come on and take it by my side
Come on and take a free ride...

One of my favorite songs, and wonderfully appropriate to the situation. Florida, ho. (Thanks, Universe.)

Besides, when we called Mama Surly to tell her that i was coming, she informed us that she'd already told all the Florida relatives that i'd be along for the ride. *shrug* That woman's way smarter than us. (;

Have a good week, all. See you when i get back.
