Saints don't bother with a tear-stained eye
First, my new friend wadam recently went to New Orleans. Not only that, but he happens to be a pretty darn good photographer, and even better, puts up with all of my newbie questions on how he does it, all with grace and kindness.

Please go check out his pictures. I think that it's incredibly important that we remember New Orleans, especially now that the post-Katrina energy has ebbed. New Orleans isn't rebuilt, by any stretch of the imagination. In some cases, the rebuilding efforts haven't even started moving, or are nothing more than a trailer in the front yard of what used to be a house. And, well, we're back into hurricane season.
