one of the things i like about my boy and our relationship is that he challenges me to think. we have all sorts of deep conversations in which we each present our own perspectives and sides and give the other person something to think about (although that doesn't mean we end up changing each other's minds necessarily). anyway. i really like the fact that we can have these rational conversations about fairly inflammatory topics--like, say, the death penalty, or the war in Iraq--and still walk away from it as good friends and with respect for each other.

i guess what i'm saying is that i like the fact that we don't have to agree in order to get along.
