Twilight
Today I had the great pleasure of driving home during twilight. I normally am driving during this time, but 9 times out of 10 I'm driving a life guard home from a pool and so don't have the luxury to sit and think about life or enjoy the quiet time to myself.
As I was driving home I had my ipod set to all my songs, all 748 of them. It's amazing all the songs I have forgotten I had. Some of them were happy up beat songs, some where quieter, some I haven't heard in years, but all of them brought back memories of various times in my life.
Plus it was great to be able to drive with the windows rolled down and not die from the heat and humidity. I didn't think it would be a big deal to get a car without air conditioning, but boy am I glad that my parents insisted on it. I think the last few days would have killed me if I had to drive around in my car without AC.
I love driving at twilight. It's so peaceful... well... it is when I'm not yelling at the two cars going five below the speed limit and doing it in such a way that no one can pass either of them. Then it's not so peaceful... or quiet really. But other than that, it's wonderful. :)
