Snow filled work day

It snowed all day yesterday. It was so pretty watching the snow through the big glass windows at the pool. I remember talking to a friend of mine who said the snow looked quite dramatic on Monday (it snowed for all of an hour and didn't stick) from her office window, which is on the 10th floor. Snow always looks really dramatic from that high up, for some reason. At least I think it does. Yesterday's snow looked dramatic from the ground floor. It snowed for hours and it stuck and was so pretty.

Oh! The best part about the snow is that it made very few people come to the rec center. Now, on one hand that's not good because it means there is no one to watch throughout the day making it last a very long time. On the other hand, it meant that the parking lot was empty and there wasn't to much noise and that made the deer feel safe enough to come out of the woods. FOUR deer came bounding out of the woods and frolicked in the snow across the field in the back and then came about 15 feet from the pool windows before running away to the other part of the woods. It was so beautiful. I felt like it was a scene right out of Bambi... only the mother deer didn't die this time around. Hurray for that. :)

After I got off of work I drove home and stayed curled up inside with my book. I had to finish it before today because the library was demanding it back. Silly library. Actually, it wasn't the library that's silly, it's the person that put the book on hold that's silly. Don't they know that the library is only supposed to put holds on books for me? Silly people.
