Our aim at Golensky.Com is to simplify translation workflow as much as possible. That's why we decided not to complicate our language services passing client's tasks through a chain of managers and involving numerous translators in a project. Instead, each time we get a new task, our several multilingual administrators tend to address assignments to a little group of translation experts. Hence, a job is usually handled by as few linguists as it practically might be. Moreover, each time a translator delivers their completed job, our administrator makes a record of their progress. So for future tasks we are able to communicate the most complex tasks to our best translators.
There often happen situations when our clients want to introduce changes to the sent files, have some new ideas regarding the content or simply have some doubts about the translation. In such case, our a responsible administrator is available to pass client's thoughts and queries over to our linguists. When our translator feels the job is done on their part, they deliver their work to our editor who checks terminology and style, and then addresses files to a proofreader that ensures everything is readable and error-free. In case any additional work on the document formating or desktop preparation is needed, the files go to a DTP-specialist, and then again through one more stage of text control. Finally, our administrator is responsible for quality assurance and delivers the completed project to the client.
Golensky.Com also added to its armoury two types of professional software, which helps us provide our language services effectively: Translation Management Systems (TMS) and Computer Aided Translation tools (CAT). While TMS establishes smooth and reliable HR administration and translation tasks monitoring to help our managers, CATs are used by translators and editors to work with Translation Memories elaborated during previous linguistic assignments for a certain client.
