Kestrel is in the back bedroom, her tower of damsel in distress ( or bitch in heat, the boys say it is the same thing).
I fed her, and then left a large two part bowl of dog food in there for her and Jack.
So I'm sitting at the computer and I keep hearing something bumping on the door, and the sound of dog paws scraping around on the lino, and Pow goes trotting down the hall, pauses, looks at the bedroom door, then comes to me.
I go check. I open the door to find Kess, standing over the food bowl, which has been dragged 2 ft, still full, from where I put it. She has started to hide it from Jack and the cats by burying it. Being a non-tip bowl, the best she could do was place things on top of it to hide it, instead of flipping it over, and shovelling all the kibble with her nose under the door into the hall, which I think was her initial plan.
Imagine a bowl of dog food, neatly half covered with two large clumps of lint, and a carefully laid package of cucumber seeds that must have fallen under the dresser.
It was so cute.
I should put it in another tippy bowl next time, cause I would love to see her face when she realizes that someone on the other side of the door is eating the kibble she is so artfully pushing under the door into the hallway. Basically, with her, it is hidden if she can't see it anymore.
