The weekend was off to a shitty start.
Friday I had plans to go down the shore to Bill's shore house for Stew's birthday, but then people decided against doing that because everyone was at work 'til like 9. So we were gunna party someplace around home and that never happened because people got lazy so everything fell through. LAME.
Saturday I woke up real early and in a great mood. I had told my mom way in advance that I would need her car for the day so I didn't think that it would be a problem. I was supposed to go to Dave's and then have band practice in the afternoon and then later go to the Cash In/Homefront/Sinking Ships/Shook Ones/Kegstand/Mongaloids show in Secaucus, NJ with Dave and Justin. WELL when I told my mom I needed to leave she started giving me all this shit like how her and Glenn were gunna go out and spend the day together farting around at the mall. GREAT. So then Dave was gunna come and get me 'cuz we needed to have band practice, but then Justin said he didn't want to practice since he decided to punch a window the other night and he hurt his wrist. He didn't want to hurt it more so we'd be able to play this show at the Rotunda tomorrow. So then I was gunna have Sam pick me up on his way home from MD, but the Cash In van was full. ANYWAY, a bunch of shit happened between then.... I was really frustrated and ended up putting 2 holes in the damn wall from punching it. I'm retarded, I shouldn't have done that. The first time I didn't even think I was going to do anything, but I should've known better the second time. Whatever. Honestly, at this point the ONLY reason for me making an attempt to still go to this show was to see Taylor and the rest of the homefront guys because I don't know when I'll be able to see him/them again anytime soon.
As it was getting late, I just got my mom to take me to the train.... I got off at 30th street, walked most of the way to Justin's house, and then Dave picked me up. We finally got to the show and the homefront was playing, but I got there in time to see their last 2-3 songs at least. It felt really good being there and seeing everyone. It's one of the best feelings in the world walking into a room filled with all of your friends after you've had a shitty, shitty day. After The Homefront played, then Cash In did. After Cash In me and Taylor walked down the street to get some pizza. I asked people to come with us, but no one followed! After we were sitting in the pizza place for a bit some people decided to walk down and join us there. I ended up missing Shook Ones and Sinking Ships, because I had no idea they were going to play next, but honestly.... I didn't even care. I was just happy to be there. We got back and KIRSTY WAS THERE!! YAY, KIRSTY!! I was so happy she came. We watched the rest of the bands, and hung out outside.... gettin nasty with bob cut it out in the cash in van hahahaha. After the show I went downstairs to the bar to ask Justin what him and John were doing... if they were going home or whatever (they drove in a seperate car). I met these old dudes Charlie and some other guy that worked there. HILARIOUS. Said they wanted to have a threesome/foursome and wanted us to come back and visit them. I went back outside and we hung out for a while with everyone. Took some sweet group pics with the cannon, hahahahaa.
After everything died down at the legion hall, a bunch of us decided to take a trip to NYC. It was an interesting trip. There were like 20 of us, 4 cars full of people trying to carivan to NY (and with all the traffic, it's really hard to do). Justin was realyl drunk and decided he was going to moon this mini-van full of people in the car next to us. Turned out to be a bunch of angry puerto-ricans. We got to a stop light and THEY GOT OUT OF THE CAR yelling things like, "YOU THINK YOU'RE FUNNY" and "YOU DISRESPECTIN MY MAMA". I was on the phone with Jim the whole time and he's like, "Uh, are you guys okay?" At first I was kind of startled, but it ended up being really hilarious. Stupid assholes. Justin, John, and Justin's roomate Jess wanted to go meet up with their friend from NY and go to some club/bar thing, so they dropped me and Kirsty off with the Homefront dudes and Dave C and Bill D and all them. We walked around times square shouting, "COLLEGE" and "SPRING BREAK" and just had a really fucking great time hanging out. There was this pimpin' big black dude in a white outfit with all this DJ equipment and a colored disco ball on the sidewalk... there was a dance team there or something.... it was AWESOME. We had a dance party and got down and dirty. Fucking ruled, I had so much fun. There was this group of 4 of maybe 5 brodies walking down the street.... one of which was wearing a shirt that said "COLLEGE" so of course we all started screaming at him. They didn't say anything to us while we were right there.... but when they were like 30 feet away they said something back to us so I turn around and yell in a fake-ghetto voice, "WHY DON'T YOU COME OVER HERE AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE, BITCH". We debated all of us running after them, just for shits and giggles, but by the time we decided on it being a good idea, they got much too far away. Oh well. We could've used that as an April fools joke, too. Nuts.
I ended up getting back to Justin's at like 7:30 in the morning, 'cuz after we were at Times Square, we went back to Justin and John's friend's apartment for a little bit.
Sunday Dave woke me up at like 10:30 when he called me, then I went right back to sleep.
Woke up, was bored, called Kirsty.... she told me about her retarded drive home and her Burger King crown game.
I woke Justin up, then me, him, and John went out and walked around. IT WAS SO NICE OUT.
The day was very enjoyable. We went to Dunkin Donuts first. I got a toasted blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a medium coffee coolata... I got lucky 'cuz the habib working undercharged me. I guess he was new or something and didn't know how to work the register. Then we went into Starbucks, and then hung out in the rittenhouse sq. park jawn for a few hours. After that we watched the drummer guy play on buckets and random pots and pans. He was amazing. After that we went to the Buffalo exchange... and then we tried to get to the top floor of the liberty skyscraper, but the security lady in there had the shit on lockdown. DAMMIT. We will one day.
Got back to Justin's, ate a sandwich, and John and him drove me back to the train station.
it was a great day.
I love walking around outside. Makes me feel so good.
MAN, I hate living around here. I want to live in the city so bad.
