OTP BROKE MY HEART IN THIS. ELENA BROKE MY FUCKING HEART. Of course she doesn't want to turn and of course, while I think Stefan would like to keep her forever, he doesn't want to condemn her to his life. Gah, I loved their entire scenes together, their talks on the waterfalls (SO CUTE AND SMILING AT EACH OTHER) and Stefan defending Damon (<3__<3) and Elena saying that Damon doesn't get love the way functional people do (<333___<333!). I keep hearing people say, "Damon was trying to save the day, and Stefan was just taking a hike," and it annoys me because, well, Stefan didn't know Damon was doing anything, he thought they were continuing on with the plan. Was he supposed to spend the day looking a magical fix-it or try to give his girlfriend some peace of mind and mentally prepare her for what the rest of her life may be like. *random rant* But the point, THEIR SCENES WERE BEAUTIFUL AND LOVELY.

I also share your feelings on Damon? What he did was HORRIBLE AND WRONG, but I don't mind because it's in character. I was intrigued by how he knew what he did was horrible and was okay with her hating him for eternity (well, clearly not okay with it, because he tried to buy her another month after BUT OH WELL DAMON, YOU FAIL) as long as she's alive. I weirdly want that, now, like, Elena holding a grudge against Damon for decades, because it's what Damon did to Stefan for turning him against his will. It'd be nice to see that cycle back on him. What I'm worried about is that he'll be forgiven in a few episodes, which will make me do this -____- I like Damon because he's a dark, twisted character, but if the show continues to handwave his actions, none of what he does has any real impact. If they acknowledge his actions as horrible and give him consequences, then he feels real and I like him again.

I've been defending the fuck out of Matt, I AM SO HAPPY TO BE VALIDATED. He is wonderful! SEEING THAT CAROLINE IS STILL CAROLINE, DAMON IS THE PROBLEM (LOL, YES, MATT, SPOT-ON), AND THEN GOING TO SAVE HER AND TYLER! *__*

Elijah is wonderful. Plz never leave us, Elijah.

I AM SO SCARED FOR JENNA. I DON'T WANT HER TO DIE. PLZ DON'T DIE. But I also really don't want her to turn :| We need some humans on this show to balance it out and Jenna totally has potential for awesomeness as a human (that scene with the crossbow!). I feel like that was only for shock value. If Klaus wanted a back-up vampire, why didn't he just snatch up Stefan? Much more easier than going out of his way to turn a vampire.

I don't want Elena to hold a grudge for decades because that's is exactly what Damon did to Stefan and we all saw how that turned out. So I think the show might have Elena forgive Damon and show the ~healing power~ of forgiveness because if Damon had been able to forgive Stefan he might not have spiraled out of control like he did.

That actually why I don't want easy forgiveness (besides my desire for ramifications and this to be a legit game changer). If Elena does the same thing that Damon did to Stefan, it'd be this horrible tragic heartbreaking thing, for Damon & Stefan both, and I would love it if the show went that dark. I can certainly see Elena being the bigger person and forgiving Damon and that's probably what the show is going to do, but I think it'd be interesting if the show let Elena turn and then took the opportunity (and season 3) to explore her dark side.

Elena holding a grudge would be completely different from Damon holding a grudge because she wouldn't act it out by raping and murdering and abusing innocent people? So just with that it would turn out incredibly exponentially better.
