Still one-track minded today

-Cops to probe Pacioretty hit: apparently police were so flooded with 9-1-1 calls from Montreal fans yesterday they had to ask people to stop phoning in. ALSO ALSO I was considering this very thing by trying hard to think back to first year crim, and I am pretty sure the rule in sports is that you do impliedly consent to certain assaults, BUT there is an amount of physical injury that you can't be considered consenting to. In my admittedly incredibly biased opinion, I think there is absolutely a criminal case here.

-Shockwaves from Pacioretty hit reach Parliament Hill. THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT IT IN PARLIAMENT, MAN. I read some quote from Iggy where he sounded really angry and I don't think anything else he's ever said has ever endeared me to him so much.

-Air Canada threatening to withdraw NHL sponsorship over non-action on the incident. Get it, Air Canada.

-Cowardly whitewash by NHL. Other people's rage helps validate me, okay.

In election news:

-Speaker’s contempt rulings add ammunition to election-minded opposition:

If the finding is upheld, as expected, by another parliamentary committee next week and affirmed by the House the week after, for the first time in Canadian history, a government and a cabinet minister will be guilty of contempt of Parliament.

Makes me so proud to be a Canadian. Canada, can we please get rid of this guy now? PLEASE?!

election 2011?, hockey = irrational canadian rage, canada, hockey, go habs go, canadian politics
