TVD Picspam/Meta: My Top Ten Stefan Moments

Jan 16, 2011 13:30

I promised this picspam for hysteria_3ced something like two months ago and it has just taken me forever. I kept deleting and changing stuff around, REALLY SERIOUS DECISIONS HAD TO BE MADE OKAY. And I kept deleting all these Stefan/Elena moments too because I was confusing how much my heart ships my OTP with Stefan’s development as a character but clearly it ( Read more... )

*nods*

Stefan has a very dry sense of humour (and sometimes a little self-disparaging too, which I love) and I feel like he is giving Damon slightly less room in S2. I love seeing it. Needs moar sarcastic!Stefan.

Stefan is so underrated/unappreciated in this fandom, it makes me want to post about him ALL THE TIME because I LOVE ALL THE THINGS that Stefan chooses to be.

Right? I know that shipping Stefan/Caroline is this big thing in fandom right now but I DON'T WANT IT THAT WAY, NOT AT ALL. They have a lovely perfect wonderful friendship and he doesn't *want* anything more from her which is lovely for Caroline. And she makes him laugh and lighten up. <33

He does!

You picked all of my favorite Stefan scenes, I think. And highlighted the reasons why I continually find him more interesting than Damon. He really does have a dual nature, the guy who jumps naked in the Trevi fountain and the guy that is boring and in control all the time. The guy that feeds on bunnies and the guy that kills his father and forces his brother to turn. Mild mannered and completely terrifying.

There's so much that he keeps tightly leashed and you just get the idea that he could be so much worse, so much more dangerous than Damon could ever dream of being, but he CHOOSES NOT TO.

I love that.

YES. I like Damon, but I also find Damon more straightforward whereas Stefan is this mix of complexities and dueling forces.

I think the blood arc in S1 is good evidence of this - the way he lied and stole and hid and had Elena fooled so he could keep feeding the addiction. Can you imagine that guy if he just... let himself go? Completely terrifying. Damon, even at his worst, still suffered from this total lack of self-esteem ( ... )

That's the way I feel about it, exactly. Damon's predictable in his violence, Stefan's not. I find the latter to be far more terrifying.

What does it say about me that a part (small, tiny part) of me would love to see Stefan completely lose it?

Well, whatever it says about you, it says that about me, too, because I would kind of really love that. Not like, long term or anything. But to see it happen, just once? Yeah. I could be really into that. I'd be hiding behind my couch while watching, but it would be amazing television.

Yeah! Like I would be onboard if Katherine turned him crazy if it was only for a brief period of time? And I keep thinking the blood sharing "little bit every day to make you stronger" plotline has to be heading *somewhere*.

It's because it was so unexpected and then when it was happening, it quickly became THE GREATEST THING EVER. Please feel free to threaten more people in hospitals, Stef.
