(no subject)
-This week has been loooong. Exams need to hurry up and be over so I can do things like leave the apartment and get out of my sweat pants again. I took my insurance law exam today ~en francais~ and it didn't go very well... due to my not understanding like 1/3 of it. THAT IS NEVER A GOOD SIGN. Clearly I should have analyzed whether damage caused by blue box spaceships on highways would have been excluded from a valid insurance claim in The Runaway Bride.
-I basically came home after my exam and flopped on the couch with Chinese food. I meant to be on page 30 of my international law summary by now, but OH WELL. At least it will be raining this weekend while I am... stuck inside.
-In happier news, I caught like a whole five minutes of Montreal's game against Washington on Thursday night. YEAH HABS, WAY TO STICK IT TO OVECHKIN & CO. I TOTALLY TAKE BACK THAT TIME LAST WEEK WHEN I KICKED YOU OUT OF THE BEDROOM AND MADE YOU SLEEP ON THE COUCH. MORE OF THIS PLZ.
Anyone a Washington fan? I read that it's the only other team in the playoffs that has sold out every game this year, and that is a quality I do not usually associate with American teams. Though to be honest, due entirely to all the press Ovechkin got after flouncing from the Olympics and vowing to return in Sochi to redeem Russia's ~honour~, in my head Ovechkin = Washington = Russia. So playing Washington is basically like playing Team Russia. I am sure this comparison would delight everyone who lives in D.C., but there is no changing things for me. (Also in my head, Pittsburgh = Team Canada btw).
ALSO because it is playoff season, I have stopped shaving in solidarity (well I mean, I am also lazy so it is a handy excuse). Razor blade commercials have led me to believe that a woman not shaving her legs will cause DEATH and DESTRUCTION to everyone around her, so I wanted to apologize to the gym at Ottawa University. You will have to see my hairy legs for at least another four games.
-shinyopals bought me the new icon package add-on. *SMOOOOOOOOOCH* I AM SO EXCITED. Clearly I need 260+ icon spaces. Opal did tell me I need more icons of the Doctor and Rose kissing, so I will get on this posthaste.
I also keep meaning (and forgetting) to rec Opal's essay on Class and Doctor Who. If you're at all interested in the British class system (and Doctor Who XD), it's a really fascinating read.
