(no subject)
I. So shinyopals and I are planning to take over have adventures through continental Europe this June. Currently we have erateini holding our hands in Greece and agent_rouka keeping us out of a Berlin jail. Does anyone have recommendations and a spare sofa on Italy? Mostly I am interested in Venice because VENICE XD. Tuscany is also calling my name... though I'm starting to think Tuscany is one of those things I have to wait and do when I'm retired and wealthy. ONE DAY. And also we might go to Scotland... because they have pretty accents.
II. It's my birthday this weekend! XD *IGNORES HOW OLD I AM TURNING* Unfortunately a lot of people are away for Easter weekend, so I will be having a small gathering with close friends rather than a huge party. But kazutakia is coming in for the weekend and it is always exciting to see Ottawa try and weather that storm.
III. New Doctor Who this weekend! I can't really say I'm bouncing with excitement, but I am... curious? Intrigued? I am also not really panicky and nervous about it, which makes a nice change from previous seasons. It's sort of hard to get all worked up either way about characters I don't know or care about yet. I definitely have some reservations about Steven Moffat as a writer (mostly for butthurt shipping reasons, let's be honest), but I hope it's good. I caught one of the S5 clips floating around last weekend, and found pretty much everything about Matt Smith's portrayal to be both hilarious and completely different from David Tennant. So that's a good sign. I still find Matt Smith to be kind of unfortunate looking, but idk, in an odd way I find that to be part of his charm.
