I've been fully expecting Robin and Barney to break up (... and then get back together, I guess...) since "Definitions" but OMG, that was so terrible that I found myself cringing in embarrassment for the writing during most of it. Plus "lol, they got fat and ugly" wasn't hilarious at all. Annoying at best and mildly offensive at worst. I get that they were trying to set up some sort of elaborate metaphor about how neither of them do traditional relationships which, fine, but man was the execution off. "THEY MADE EACH OTHER UGLY" didn't have much of an emotional impact on me. It was mostly... ick.
