New Doctor Who logo and a bunch of other things
I. Oh, hey, new Doctor Who logo for S5. Man, all these changes are coming so quickly that my head is spinning. I think I need to be eased into changes. Maybe the BBC could start handing out cookies with its announcements.
I'm still eyeing S5 with suspicion. Fannishly I'm way more excited for S2 of Being Human. More Russell Tovey! XD But Being Human seems to get way less love and attention. DAMN YOU AND YOUR INSANE POPULARITY, DOCTOR WHO.
II. HIMYM last night! I'm too lazy to do a proper reaction post, but I loved it! Barney/Robin is probably my favourite pairing airing on TV right now. I loved the part where Barney admitted that he was terrified Robin would dump him - yeah, this is a guy that has spent a long time avoiding getting close to anyone, but the implication has always been because he's so terrified of not being liked.

III. I try to avoid posting about American politics on LJ, but I really liked Andrew Cohen's editorial in the paper this morning. He was a bit overly harsh on America and doesn't really have any appreciation for the complicated situation down there, but it's still an interesting read if anyone is curious about how other countries perceive the American political situation. I also thought his point about how differently the lives of politicians are portrayed in the media was bang on. A high profile political marriage in Canada breaking up is news to me. I'm going to guess it's Jack Layton and Olivia Chow, but I hope the media continues to respect their privacy.
IV. Four days until Thanksgiving weekend!
