Summary: An unbearably fluffy Christmas drabble. Just… because I felt like it.

Seeing Ginny brought back far too much complicated rubbish. He was too tired to deal with it. It had been a long war.
Duck. Hide. Avoid.
Cowardly of him-maybe, maybe-or maybe Ginny was a life he’d long given up, before the war. Before now.
He watches Hermione string the lights up on the Christmas tree. That’s when he realizes. Green and red lights blink off her face and make patterns on her dress. She bites her lip as she concentrates, giving the tree the same sort of attention she once devoted to her studies.
Her head turns and she catches his eye, her smile illuminating her eyes. A jolt passes through him.
Their eyes hold, unblinking, until he grasps what is, where he goes now. She knows-she always knows-and she breaks their gaze, going back to the tree.
