Although I have not seen that movie, I know what it is about and I can see why John would enjoy it and Sherlock, not so much!
Nice vignette. How did John avoid injury in the brawl?

I suspect he wisely stayed out of the way.

Part of me wants to think that he is the one who inflicted the black eye... but we'll never know for sure.
