Did it not do well? I run in Christian circles, so practically everyone I know has seen it. (I also run in obsessed-with-regency-era-costume-drama circles and 18th-century-geek circles...so this film was a big deal.)

I thought it was beautifully done, and had an amazing cast--Gryffudd and Cumberbatch AND Rufus Sewell AND Michael Gambon AND Nick Farrell AND Romola Garai AND Ciaran Hinds AND Toby Jones AND...!

:-D

I have just seen this wonderful movie.
William Wilberforce is now a hero of mine as well.
Thank you for the recommendation!

And I just run around in circles!

The scene of Pitt's death made me cry so hard. Cumberbatch and Gruffudd were very touching together...
The movie made me get a biography of Pitt, and now that I know more about him, seeing him die in the movie makes me even sadder, because now I know about his hopes, and failures, and frequent illnesses, and his lonely life
Anyway, thanks for the pictures, it's nice to see two handsome men playing two of the greatest politicians ever. A truly impressive movie, even if there are quite a few historical mistakes
