Hahaha! I'll never tire of hearing Sherlock point out that Anderson's an idiot.

It can be fun.

Though not as much fun as Sherlock pointing out that _Mycroft_ is an idiot! :-P

I love the idea and anderson radiating stupidity!! ariadnechan July 15 2013, 09:38:32 UTC
pero me pregunto? por qué le pusiste al fic 'yo no tengo la menor idea?? no seria mejor"El no tiene la menor idea"

Sherlock la tiene por que le pusiste Yo no tengo la menor idea??

Anderson not tine la menor idea, por lo tanto es "El"

Je ne sais quoi en español significa "Ese yo no se qué"

If you really don't know spanish

the use of 'Yo no tengo la menor idea' would be wrong because in the fic Anderson is not the narrator. So is a "HE" "he had no idea whatsoever"

in spanish 'je ne sais quoi' doesn't mean "Yo no tengo la menor idea".
it means "Ese yo no se qué" roughly retranslated into english from spanish would be "that thing, i don't know what exactly."

No queria traducir "je ne sais quois." Tambien, no me hablo espanol mas que pocas palabras, y no conozco si esta frase esta correcta.

:-)

(Seriously . . . it took me five minutes to put that sentence together, and I'm sure it's terrible Spanish. I wasted my four years of Spanish in high school, and never took it again, so my brain has only dribs and drabs. I'm always upset with myself about that.)

That being said, I was not intending to translate "je ne sais quoi". I was intending to write the phrase for "I don't have the faintest idea." (one of the dribs and drabs that stuck). I hope that's what "yo no tengo la menor idea" means, because I have been using it like that for YEARS. I just wanted another phrase in another language that was somewhat thematically appropriate. :)

Thank you!

I actually have a habit of saying completely phrases in other languages (languages I can't actually speak) at random times, so, for example, if I have no idea I almost always say so in Spanish. And if I want to say "thank you" I almost always do in German. I'm just weird. :-P

I'm _very_ impressed with your English, though. I wish I could be so fluent in another language. :-D
