A drabble in response to eanor's prompt, "Sherlock/Irene or Sherlock, Irene: Love is just a chemical. We give it meaning by choice." at the sherlockmas prompting fest.

Playing
It wasn’t her whole life-just a series of unconsciously recorded sensations:

Chocolate frosting on Bill’s birthday cake

Thank you!

I think Irene is fascinating (ASiB is hands down my favorite episode of the series thus far). I'm still trying to get a handle on her as a characters, so I'm glad you liked the little moments. :-)

Honestly, I was not into Irene much at all in the episode ... but this little bit of fiction makes me like her more :) Great work!

Thank you! I can't say I liked Irene as a person (that is, that I would want to be her acquaintance... but then I'm not sure I'd want to spend too much time with Sherlock either. Hehe!), but that episode was my favorite of the series thus far, and I found her character fascinating. So, I'm glad this make you like her a teeny bit more. :-D

Yay! Thanks so much for taking my prompt! :-D

This is so perfect in every way! ♥ I love the tiny little snippets into Irene's past (each worth another drabble at least - yes, I'm curious :-P) and I love how you leave the question what her message really means unanswered - because that's not what matters. And I totally agree with your interpretation of Sherlock's decision. :-)

I really loved the prompt! Thank you!

ALSO IT IS ALL ABOUT THE AMBIGUITY! (that's what makes that episode so interesting, so I want to preserve it at all times!)

And I'm so very glad you enjoyed this! : -)
