At the house where we're staying right now there is a paper with some instructions posted on the refrigerator:

Welcome to Belle Cottage.  We hope you enjoy your stay here.  Just a few "notes" about the house--

It is followed by actual notes, not scare-quote notes.

•Nightly noises are to be expected. We recommend you relocate if you are a light sleeper
•Expect food to spoil faster than normal, and soda cans in the refrigerator to freeze and burst.
•Do not be alarmed if the walls start dripping blood.
•We suggest that you spend the night elsewhere (not outside!) in the event of a full moon.
•Most of our previous guests have left alive.
