Written for Cycle 3, Month 2 of thegameison_sh (though slightly edited). The challenge was to change one thing in canon and imagine what would happen as a result. I had been thinking about this for a while, so I went with it. :-)

Oh that Moriarty! Always chasing after the geniuses (genii?)!
And poor John is lost without his Johnson.

I'm not sure, really. I think that would be a really interesting AU to write, but I'm not a HUGE fan of writing AUs. I think it would work COMPLETELY differently, but remember that Mycroft has Anthea and probably countless other nameless minions at his beck and call.
