As I was saying...

...so, yeah, we went to Arizona.  And it was brilliant.  So brilliant that I still haven't got around to writing up my holiday journal.  Stayed tuned, if you're interested.  It will appear.

After the fabulous holiday, I came home and spent the next week in bed with a combination of flu and jetlag.  Which meant I started my new teaching job feeling incredibly unprepared.  But four weeks in and I'm really enjoying it.  I teach postgraduate Radio Journalism three days a week.  The "kids" are bright and sparky and great fun, but there's a lot of preparation to do.

On top of that, I just got a new book deal and have to finish my third novel by mid-February.  Ah well.  The gamble I took - giving up my job and attempting to survive on freelance work and writing - seems to be paying off.  All I need to do right now is get myself a few more comedy gigs and I'll be away.
