Sunday out w the Best Brunch Bunch!

Mar 17, 2008 02:19

It seems a little too overrated, but it was truly the mood that counted when we scooped ourselved into Whitebait & Kale Cafe @ Camden Centre (Yes, the place where all the taitais get their faces lifted & wrinkles erased magically)...

Met up at 3pm for our "lazy Sunday afternoon brunch" as James called it, funny coz I always thot BRUNCH = BREAKFAST + LUNCH, which translated to somewhere between after-brekkie to before-lunch right? <> as is served at this Cafe was 12noon-4pm, which meant we could get our scrambled eggs & what-nots in the heat of the afternoon! Sure I know of other "all-day brekkie" places but combine this will lotsa-taitai vibes & you've got a winning formula.

Food looked deceivingly simple, but tasted good. The 1st thing I exclaimed was how the Cafe was a replica of the Delicious Cafe I went to in KL. Light-bleu + white color scheme, white-washed walls, simple "canteen" design, open-top counter, right down to the menu, it was like my dear Delicious opened an outlet here in SG!

So in a bid to continue the lazy Sunday feeling, we trotted down tanglin mall, tudor court & right into Orchard Road, stopping to gawk at the 6-star St. Regis Hotel. A pearl in the more secluded part of the hustle-bustling town, we played the part of tourist to get ourselves in & exploring like crazy. Even covered the toilets, & empty second-level. I'd say we found ourselves the most excellent place for the guys to treat when they get called (Are you listening James, not nice to forget what you said ah *cracks knuckles*)

We parked ourselves back again in another cafe, this time more "mainstream" TCC @ Lido Bldg. Never have my Sundays been so decadent in a long time. There you have it, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner within 3 hours on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I hereby declare the Brunch Bunch open for enrolment =)
