effing duo boots

Dec 22, 2009 10:36

First I had to pay over $100 to return them. Well, after I got a bad fit and took 2 months to get them at all.

Then the delivery company, TNT, that DUO exclusively employs, sends me a bill for customs and duty charges. Weeks after I returned the boots. Customs told me they attach a form e14 to the front of all packages so if I don't like the duty amount I can refuse the package. TNT must have taken that form off and then sent me a bill for that amount + $25 handling fee. They obviously did not have to want to deal with returns, hence me having to pay $100 for Canada Post to return the boots. When I argued with TNT they gave me the number to their, "brokers dept." which when I called, was out of service. Shady. This is an international courier company!

DUO says TNT has to deal with me on getting these duty charges reversed. TNT says I have to deal with DUO.

Canada Border Services says TNT did something illegal and to just pay it and send them a refund form to get my money back (minus the $25 + $116 I paid in shipping.)

NIGHTMARE.
