kiehl's

I have very dry skin normally, in the winter it's really bad. In a fit of desperation yesterday I bought some Kiehl's ultimate hand salve as they have a store right here on Queen St. and I was looking for fall clothing. . .it was expensive, $20 and change for a tube!!!

Then I came home and looked it up and saw it has parabens and aluminum in it. But I already opened it. Used a bit. AND lost the receipt!! I am pretty sure I threw it out when we went the park and it was falling out of my pocket, have searched for it a bit but will look more just in case they will accept opened merchandise, as their website says they have a 100% guarantee.

So annoyed with myself as I had looked up that company when they first opened up that store last year and saw their products were pretty much toxic. I have to say the cream did work well that one time I used it, but yeah that is why these chemicals/toxic substances have been used -- cause they work well in the short term. Never mind that they lead to all sorts of nastiness in the future after years and years of cumulative use.

Just annoyed to spend so much money on rubbish. At least they don't conduct animal testing. Still, I guess if I don't find the receipt I will throw that $20 away :(

I have been using shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil, olive oil that I scent myself with essential oils and Burt's Bees baby buttermilk lotion. None of these work for more than 1/2 hr or so before my hands become scaly again which is why I wanted a heavy duty hand salve.
