yesterday was the day from hell. i had two papers and presentation due. after my 12 hours long day (with two 30 minute breaks), i was sitting in my kitchen at 9 pm and i said "i am going out." so, i put on my black boots and make-up and left. later, i was told that i looked "very italian." i hope my roommate meant this in a good way. i met up with my housemates at art bar (where i had a strawberry margarita for 4 euro) and then i went to nova bar. there was a thing going on there for kids in clubs at my school. i am in the jazz club. i got two free drinks as paid for by the school (a cape cod and sangaria). in my slightly drunken haze, i saw my teacher standing at the bar. in an attempt to slip by him, he caught me. he was drunk too and enthusiastically said, "HI! HOW ARE YOU?!" in his thick italian accent. i giggled and said, "tutto va bene!" tutto did va bene. it was nice to see a live band of ldm kids (live bands are always entertaining whether they are good or bad). i deserved last night after being wound up for so long.
next week will involve me turning in a handmade red skirt, a 20-print photo portfolio and taking three finals. it wont be incredibly hard. next sunday i will be home. it all seems so soon.
