a real martial artist died recently

and it sure as shit wasn't david fucking carradine. i said a real martial artist, and not some hack who starred in crap tv shows and after-school specials. shih kien, best known for his portrayal as han, the guy with the claw before vega made it popular, in enter the dragon, opposite bruce lee.

kien died at the age of 96, due to kidney failure, and not some ambiguous mystery death in bangkok (which btw, is a no-win situation whether he killed himself and/or tried to get off, or was murdered).

the martial arts world and HK cinema mourns the loss of an icon with over 350 films and a legitimate master status to his resume. the best thing carradine ever did was do a voice over in king of the hill. the only thing that saves quentin tarantino from being a total failure is the fact that in spite of casting carradine in kill bill, he was wise enough to cast legitimate martial arts legends in sonny chiba and gordon liu to balance out his dead weight.
