The best weekend ever! Part 3
Now, the party was very interesting. Right as we walked in, we were greeted by Doug Bradley who was drinking in the main room. We had a beer and went out onto the balcony, where Sid and his girlfriend were. I’m telling ya, hanging out with Sid and Suzie was an experience I will never forget. They were simply awesome. Down to Earth nice people. We sat out there and chatted with them for over 2 hours. Maybe longer. Meanwhile, Ken Foree was running around and he stopped to chat with us. I will tell you this, nothing feel quite as nice as having a person like Ken Foree scream your name across the room to come do a shot with them. I mean, I grew up idolizing these people and thinking they were the shit! But now I know they are the shit because I got to talk with them and see them as the cool people that they are.
Reggie Banister, I cannot say enough nice things about this man. He was simply awesome and so much fun to listen to. He has lead a very exciting life and I really enjoyed his company. I spent most of Saturday night talking with him. But more on that in a bit, I am getting ahead of myself and shouldn’t jump ahead.
Also, Michael Berryman is the coolest guy! He was simply amazing. He is a warm and sweet, caring person who I could listen to for hours. He is filled with amazing stories and he was just a joy to hang with. If you ever get a chance to meet this man, make sure you take the opportunity to sit and chat with him. He is a wonderful, incredible man.
After Sid and Suzie left, Angela Bettis came outside to say her goodnights. I walked up to her and told her how I thought she was great in May. She thanked me and hugged me and ended up sitting outside with us for another 2 hours. We talked and I am now convinced she is the cutest thing in the world and I wanted to stuff her into a suitcase and bring her home. She was funny and sweet and just so little and cute. This would not be the last time we got to enjoy Angela’s company, she was awesome.
The party broke up around 3 am when the hotel decided that we had had enough fun for the evening. Imagine a ritzy resort placing a curfew on everyone. So anyway, we said our good nights and made our way stumbling back to the room. I know I drank and smoked too much, took a couple of beers from the party and we went back to the room to look over all of our goodies from the day, all of the autographs and DVD’s and to talk about all of the amazing stuff that went on. We went to bed drunk and happy, and I couldn’t have scripted a better or more enjoyable day. Well, Saturday was pretty fun…..
I will have to detail my day on Saturday tomorrow, I am so tired right now, I hurt and I am going to bed.. sleep good!!!
