Augh, I'm so useless!
I guessed right off that Faraday's mom was Eloise Hawking. (Just as we all guessed that Locke's dad was the original Sawyer the moment he said "con")
But right under my nose, I COMPLETELY missed the VERY obvious fact that... Ellie from Jughead was Eloise Hawkins!
Of course, we didn't learn her first name was Eloise until a few eps later, but I'm kicking myself for having to have it pointed out to me. I guess I was too busy being amused with the info that Widmore was once an Other. (My theory had been that he was a former leader of the Others...)
Her character in Flashes Before Your Eyes always bugged me, because she seemed like a silly throwaway plot contrivance. I should have known they kind of sort of knew what they were doing.
Also it was finally great to see the story of the French science expedition. Those time jumps sure are narratively convenient. deus ex tempus.
And oh thank god Charlotte is dead. What a dull character.
Oh and remember when they started talking Latin? And one character was like TACE!!! And I knew what he had said because high school latin FTW.
Also if after turning the wheel you can't return to the island, uh, why is Locke supposed to return to the island?
Overall I'm liking this season well enough, but I'm very glad the time-skips & O6 stuff seems to be wrapping up. It's been very, I don't know, hectic.
