The sun shone through the holes in the curtains making me squint, don't worry you heard right, I said holes. I felt an arm around my waist, cuddling into my side. I lightly removed her arm and got up, she looked cute when she slept, so peaceful, it was nice to see her relaxed, much better than a cowering little soul worried about what's going to happen next. I heard banging of the stairs and my door swung open.
“You, you little bitch.” He came towards me grabbing my throat, pushing me up against the wall forcefully. The bang must of woken her up as I looked at her slowly bring her knees up to her chest. He pressed his face into my cheek as I turned my head to the side. “Where's my money?”
“What money?” I choked out as he held his grip on my neck.
“Andrew told me he gave you £60 last night, which means you obviously nicked some.”
“Uncle Ty I swear I gave you everything he gave me.” His grip loosened lightly as I fell to the floor coughing trying to catch my breath. He fished in his pocket and counted the money again.
“Oh yeah.” His face broke out into a smile. “Sorry.” He patted my head and walked out of the door.
As the door shut I felt arms around my neck, as she laid into my lap shaking.
“Hey shhh, don't be scared.” She looked back at me, tears were streaming down her face. “Like I said last night do as he says and you'll be ok?” She nodded lightly and put her face in the crook of my neck. “I'll protect you, don't worry.”
I didn't know what it was but I felt like I needed to protect her. I didn't know her all that well but we had a spark I could feel it and I wanted to get to know her, she was beautiful, a face of an angel. I'd never tell my uncle that I was gay though, he'd rip me apart. Being treated like a rag doll myself I didn't want that for her, I was going to make sure she stayed safe, as if she was my own little lady.
