You are the greatest, ever. I still can't believe you let me play with your characters! I was and remain terrified that I haven't done them justice, but the only reason I ever even thought to attempt this was because I've read Prep Alex so many times, read into it to such an extent that I'm confident important points of these characters found their way into this piece purely by way of OSMOSIS. I'm so relieved you don't think I messed up! WEEEEEEEE.

Lisa is .. the epitome of womanhood. She is everything a girl could ever hope to be. She's like a super girl, built from all the best bits of humanity.

She also likes to collect clueless boys, take them home and make them make sense. She's always been so clued in to Alex and Jack and everything they're about, and could absolutely probably sum Alex up in like one sentence! She appreciates how hard his life is, she really does. She would just also appreciate it if he could find time to get his shit together and make an honest man out of her best friend.

"certain reactions are only natural. NO WORRIES GRL, IT HAPPENS", RIGHT???? Alex and Jack are absurdly attractive human beings when they're not busy being the special kind of dorkus, so she can absolutely appreciate the view when they make out. It helps that she knows this isn't the first time they've done this, that they're not at all doing it for HER benefit. So if an opportunity presents itself to hit that, whilst also working to help them sort their lives out, a girl's gotta do what a girl wants to do.

I'm so glad you picked up on Jack and Lisa's little silent conversation! Although it wasn't important to the focus of what I was trying to do here, they are the best friends. They are the higher life forms in every room. They absolutely have wordless conversations about seducing their friend.

Dude, I didn't even set OUT planning to write this in Lisa's POV, I just knew for sure that I wasn't going to do it from Alex's - partly because the point was to give your brain a vacay, partly because Alex would angst his way through this like everything else. Jack would probably be too incoherent to find the words, and I think it really works best this way purely because Lisa is the one always on top of things. Figuratively, literally, spacially. It was super freaking fun writing her! As previous stated - she is the BEST.

Oh man, it was SO important that a strong motivator for all of this was Lisa wanting this for Jack! Where we're at in the draft now, she's at least a little clued in to how he might feel about Alex, even if Alex's return of that is still a little ambiguous for everyone concerned. So I figured she'd know for sure if I set this a couple months forward. It's even so obvious HERE how much Jack is into Alex, and Lisa is a charitable human being, so if by acting as a buffer she can get this thing that Jack wants for him, then she absolutely will. I like how kind of determined she gets about it. Like, once she decides, thats it. Nothing will derail this train!

I kind of wanted to write like a hundred thousand words about how much Jack wants Alex, but that was one downside of writing Lisa's POV. I'd like to think it comes across, even through her eyes, that this is .. as much as it's the greatest thing that has ever happened to Jack, it's also really difficult at parts. He just wants to push Alex down on the bed and rub off on him, all the time. Every day, etc. But both he and Lisa are worried about Alex's reactions to this, so they have to wait for him to get with the program, let him at least THINK he's in control! And hey, Alex started it.

#GIRLPOWER. Ahahahaha. Srsly! There were a couple parts where I was worried that Lisa might come across as being a little slutty or something, but then I realized that 'slutty' is a term for the sexually repressed to use on those they envy. Lisa loves these guys and has no qualms about channeling that into sexual release. They're a good cause! And she benefits hard too, so she's all about doing it right. Once Alex isn't freaking, she's going to get it DONE. I kind of love how she is for the most part setting the pace here, but she also totally loses it when Jack and Alex bring their a-game. I like the effect each one of them has on the other two, it's a glorious little circle of appreciation.

I like to think that in real life, in general, Jack Barakat does not treat girls like girls. He wouldn't mean anything by it, but he would just absolutely horse around with his girl friends the same way he does with his boys. And he's absolutely not the kind of kid to punk out and change his tune when it comes to sex. If he's rough with Lisa every day, he's going to be just as rough with her when he's fucking her. And Lisa vastly appreciates this.

The high-five!!! Hahaha. Probably MY favorite part, because it's absolutely something Jack and Alex would want to do no matter who they found themselves in this position with, but I think they're only comfortable enough to actually do it because it's Lisa, and she's their friend, and she already knows they're lamers so she won't judge. Hee.

Dude, before I even thought anything out for this, I decided Jack was going to fuck Lisa. He's put in the hours, okay? The YEARS. He definitely earned the right to hit that first. But oh my god, I found that I had the converse version of The Alex Problem when actually writing it. Whereas he is usually the hardest person in the world to pin down for the makeouts and sexing, he was all ABOUT it with Lisa. I was writing it, and looking down at my hands, and shrieking ALEX ALEX WHAT ARE YOU DOING STOP THAT, THAT'S JACK'S, BACK YOU BEAST! And like .. man. As much as I would really appreciate the idea of Alex fucking Lisa? JACK doing it .. fuck. That blows my mind. I think mostly because the thought of Jack fucking anyone is just .. HIS COLLARBONES, you know? HIS FACE. His .. just, HIM. But also, LISA. I don't know how I didn't die, just writing this.

I think they both decided to fit themselves in around Alex when they were falling asleep because .. even though the guys ask Lisa if she's okay, it's absolutely Alex whose most likely to freak. They ask her out of some weird sense of chivalry that they must have found under Flyzik's bed or something, because it definitely wasn't there two minutes ago when they both had their dick in her, but still. It's a nice gesture. Thankfully, nobody freaks because they're all pretty solid human beings by this point, they've spend enough time around one another to have that awesome kind of level of trust where pretty much nothing that happens could break it. And when the event in question is great sex, it's probably just going to strengthen it. The correct priorities in life - Jack and Alex and Lisa have them!!! \o/
