(no subject)
so for anyone who wasn't told, here's my latest drama:
i came home on thursday and nadine was here. i hadn't seen her in a week so i said hey i thought you didn't exist any more. she says, my friend has an apartment. i can't pass up this deal, i'm moving out. and i'm like WTF? you can't break the lease. you need to call the landlord. she said ok i will. about an hour goes by and i realize she's moving out NOW and she still hasn't called the landlord. so i call her and tell her nadine is moving out as we speak. i hand the phone over to nadine and say the landlord would like to speak with you. she talks to her and i listen to her convo. she asks where are you moving to? um i don't the address but i know where it is. what's your phone number? it's a new phone so i don't know my number, but give me your number and i'll call you tomorrow. so the landlord agrees to that. they talk a little more and she hangs up. i ask her for her number just so i have it. she says she has the landlord's number and she'll deal with her. i said well you should give it to me in case i need it. why would you need it? what if you get mail here? oh i won't get any mail. just give me your number. i don't know it. it's new. JUST CALL ME FROM YOUR PHONE AND I'LL HAVE YOUR NUMBER!! so she did. finally. i talked to the landlord later. she said nadine is full of CRAP and she's trying to skip out on us.
well i found out that she didn't call the next day and i bet she doesn't plan on it. i'm wondering if i should call her just to maybe put some fire under her butt. she said she would help us find a roommate to take her place. so i'm thinking i might call her to ask her how the roommate search is going? and maybe also remind her that the landlord will take legal action if she doesn't pay july's rent. what does everyone think? is that overstepping my bounds?
well last night was the 4th. it was fun. i went to a bbq at a friend's place and then we walked over to mimi's place. you can see all the firework shows from her rooftop. not only could we see the macy's show in manhattan, but her neighbors lit off a bunch of fireworks too. they were literally going off right above our heads. it was like some kind of movie moment or something. only thing is i was there by myself since josh is in dc now. if he had been there, then it totally would have been a rom com movie moment. july 4th at least in my mind is sort of our anniversary and it would have been nice if he was there. but other than that, it was great.
