so i had a pretty horrible experience today. i was on set working (my last 2 days before i start the new fabulous job!). i offered the boss a suggestion in a fairly normal way. he comes up to me in front of everyone, grabs me by the shoulders really hard, and says keep your opinions to yourself. now i understand he was frustrated because the actor wasn't doing what he wanted, but to be fair what he wanted was stupid and unnatural, which is why i offered a suggestion. i was pretty much pissed. i grabbed my stuff and walked away. i wasn't really going to leave, although i should have because i know the shoot would have fallen to peices without me. so later we talked about it and i straight up told him that was humiliating and condescending and i didn't appreciate that. he said i tend to give suggestions very aggressively. i said when you take suggestions you're condescending. and yes i have been aggressive when i give suggestions but that's because i feel like you've treated me unfairly and it's made me a little aggressive towards you. he was totally surprised. so basically i'm really glad i'm leaving this job. he seems like the kind of guy that can snap at any minute. ugh.
