A girl at heart . . . I love to play dress up
I need to note some of the fun I had this past weekend at the Baronial Investiture. It was my second SCA event, and I have to thank melaniesuzanne and yorkshirelad for introducing me to the Barony of Ponte Alto. I met some very wonderful people (I don’t know if any of them are on LJ) and I really have had fun playing medieval dress up. Guess there is no longer a doubt that I am a girl at heart and I love the dress up and the chivalry and all, even if it isn’t something that I experience on a daily basis.
And I Love the clothes!
I so love the clothes!! I borrowed some things from MelanieSuzanne and I am dressing as a 12th century French noble woman. I even found some an example of how the English and the Germans dressed during the 12th century. The hairstyle for the women was typically braids, ribbons and veils. Thus I braided and pinned up my hair, and intertwine ribbon around the braids, so it somewhat resembles some of the photos I found in my research. (*I am such a girl!*) I hope to later have some photos to post with me in full Medieval regalia.
