Thanks! And I very much agree, re: cat poisoners. I have some suspicions about who it might have been now, actually. In fact, the very day after she got sick, Sophie got out of the house, and we weren't able to find her until yesterday (she is currently curled up with me, having had enough of adventuring for a while). She was at the pound, and it turns out there's an old woman in the house right across from us who puts traps in her garden to catch cats, and then gives them to the city. I'm strongly considering sneaking over there tonight to sabotage the traps.
