I enjoy reading your posts to bring me back in touch with the Italian roots. My great grandparents were from Turin and Milan. I never had the joy of visiting Italy while living in Europe but you inspire me to consider making a trip before I leave this earth! I was wondering about a long term stay in Italy, say maybe 4-6 months and where one would could find accommodations, how much that would cost. I was heartened to read your reply to Vladika Seraphim that the liturgy and hymns survived the revamp of the liturgy after Vatican II. The Novos Ordo liturgy here is very thin. The Tridentine Rite is still celebrated in one parish but it is rather ragged and the music rather frightful. As a musician and someone savvy to liturgy, this is heartbreaking. You said you directed a choir. I presume then that you are a musician, perhaps a professor of music? Thank you for sharing so much of the beauty that makes up your life.
I can help you to plane your trip and to find accommodations. Let me know if you'll decide it. Yes you are right, I'm an orchestra conductor and have a choir. You can read my Bio in the info page.
You are so very gracious! I just feel I need to get in touch with my religious and cultural roots before I die. You are quite a few years younger than I am, yet so much more accomplished. How very impressive your credentials and what you are doing. When you come to the U.S.A., what cities do you visit?
It will be maybe two or three years before I retire and will have the time to take such a trip to Italy. I pray that we will still be in communication when the time comes.
I was in Florida and Mexico. I'll be in San Pedro of California the next year. I hope we'll be in contact when you decide to come in Italy. God Bless You and have a very happy Easter.

Hello!
I was pointed in your direction by rcnonperson. I am interested in Italy as my family is from there although I've never been. I see you were in Florida. I am in Naples Florida and was wondering where in Florida you visited. You sound like an amazing person! I hope you don't mind but I've friended you!
