Rain comes pouring down, falling from blue skies. Words without a sound, coming from your eyes.

Ahem.

So it's Saturday morning, and Chelsea and I are doing our weekly meandering to Exceptional Equitations. Crossing the Oldam County border with complete confidence that the day would pass by smoothly, we soon arive at our critter contaminated destination.

The day began as usual. We nourished the horses with some quality H20, hand pumped from the water faucet, groomed them whilst keeping our feet intact from stompage. Despite the attacking fog, it was a good day.

Then, in a bout of randomosity, the lead caretaker asked us to take apart this basketball goal lurking about in the John Deer Machinery storage area. Taking on this task with delighted determination, we set forth, wrench in hand.

We were sucessful at first, removing the goal part of the contraption with little or no difficulty. It was when we came to the base of the sport prop that we encountered our dilema. For there, underneath it's plastic carcus, lie a family of spiders.

Squealing in fear, Chelsea and I leapt back with impressive speed. Retreating back to the barn for some sort of beating device, we arrived weilding a hammer and a crocket stick. It was at this point that we realized the monstrosity of the situation. There was a black widow lurking beneath it's webby depths. I struck.

And missed. I screamed, sending the hammer flying into the fence it had previously been tied to. Chelsea, reeling back as well, grabbed it and proceeded to strike it with several blows that sent it to it's gravelly grave.

[Moment of Silence]

This was about the time that the family was discovered, for they had reproducing and creating families and whatever it is that spider's do underneath basketball goals. There were a total of four and a few assorted others we refused to examine closely enough to determine their species. Disposing of them as best we could, we headed back up to the stables to retrieve some sort of spider extermination device.

[Another Moment of Silence]

The goal was eventually hosed down to prevent any more arachnid related encounters. We were both visably shaken by the whole experience. I do hope they don't make us actually move it when we go back next week.

But Saturday night was awesome. :-) Happy early birthday Anniendo. I love Mallard Crossing.

Today was awesome as well. The volleyball game was splendid for we won both partidos, and post partido fuimos a Heine Bros. for some caffiene related goodness. However, I found Ice-Cream more to my liking and hit up the Graeter's with Colena, where we proceeded to order our dairy related products. After that came the drive back to the homeland which is the Mount. :-)

Oh yes, the football game was awesome as well. :-) I found the smoke cloud slowly covering half the stadium quite amusing.

I must scurry, for I am tired leikwhoa, and I acutally have to wake up semi-early to work on some tarea tomorrow. Tally ho. :-)
