I made a tee-shirt! Well, I bought one. But I did resize it! And paint on it. Because silly me, for some reason I bought extra-large, when I really needed small. So that was stupid of me. But I wanted to wear my shirt, so I resized it. And then, while having a small flail-session over my obsession for the week (or month.), which by the way is the band Panic! at the Disco, I decided that I NEEDED one of these shirts:
http://store.fueledbyramen.com/artists/2/store/show/61179 but I didn't want to pay almost 20 bucks for it. Plus, it was just so PLAIN. So I thought to myself, "I can make one those, no problem!"
And I went for it! :D (But I did have a minor mishap though. I accidentally cut one of the sleeves too small. But I fixed it!) And here is the resulttttt.
I hand-painted the letters, which is why they might look fuzzy (No tracing! No stencils! I'm so proud.) I mixed acrylic paint with textile medium and heat set it, so hopefully it won't wash off.
Sometimes, I wish I were a boy so I could have a flat chest. Making shirts is so much harder when you have to account for boobs. The letters have to be in the very front, and not too close to the sides, or else REINVENT turns into EINVE, even if you have almost no breasts at all. :(
So, since you can't see the heart very well, another picture!
And that's it. x-posted to tshirtsurgery and sew_hip and craftgrrl.
P.S. I love friends!
