BOOM!
antirrhinum_m and poly_good_girl and I watched Live Free or Die Hard last night. What complete brainless fun. I love action movies with lots of big explosions, as long as they don't take themselves too seriously. The Die Hard series is great; it's all about sweaty men and big guns and lots of KABOOM. It's such a guy movie, I'm not sure why I like that sort of thing. My usual preference is for deep-thinking intellectual dramas. poly_good_girl posted a picture from one of the best scenes in the movie, where Bruce Willis launches a police car at a helicopter by sending it crashing into a barrier. The other one I liked was the semi-truck and the fighter jet playing chicken under a freeway overpass. Fucking hilarious! The physics are backwards, the politics are inconsistent, the leaps of logic are mind-boggling, and the plot-holes make the script look like a seive, but it doesn't matter. I loved it!
