my first gig
its kind of funny to think of it like that, but i guess it was:
Last week my cantor told me that at the "Shabbat in the Park" that my temple does in the park, they needed someone to play music. he only plays piano and so he was wondering if i could play for us. i told him that i would try, and then he gave me the music on monday for tonites service. i practiced and shit and i got it down and i played all of the songs except one with out looking at the notes, that was pretty good i thought for just 4 days of practicing. it was a pretty cool shpiel all together and pretty relaxed and i know i didnt get paid so i guess it wasnt a real gig, it was definately my first time playing for an audience. a little wierd but pretty fun. my mom's a camera whore and so im sure ill be able to get pictures of it up later. for now im off to bed, only 2 days and 6 hours till i leave for the sac! i cant wait!
