Well, That Was Expected
I just read where John Edwards has dropped out of the presidential race. I'm saddened to hear this, as he was my candidate of choice, but I was not surprised, as it is clear the tide has turned to either Obama or Clinton (the latter of which would cause me to vote republican, even to my own shock and horror).
I suppose this puts my support in Obama's camp, although I worry about how seriously he will be taken in a presidential position. We'll just have to wait and see. I just don't see how a first term senator will fair - but there's a first time for everything, isn't there?
I wish Edwards and his wife well. From the sounds of it, her cancer, having progressed to her bones, will be nothing but an uphill battle for them all the way. Perhaps for his family's sake, his decision is in their best interest.
