Fucking episode 23, stop making me cry. I know it's my own damn fault for going back and watching the last three episodes over and over, but... still, Jesus Christ.
I dunno. I think it just gets me really bad 'cause, I mean... Lockon has been probably my favorite character consistently throughout the series. I mean, I liked him from the beginning; it didn't take a while for him to grow on me, like it did with Tieria, whom--even with my biased affinity for him due to his hotly-debated gender, sexuality, what have you--I actually found rather unlikeable at first due to his cold attitude. Rather, Lockon won my heart right off the bat, and it'd stayed like that the whole way through . And even though I had actually gotten his death spoiled for me way before I actually started looking into the series, it was still devastating when it happened. *shrug*
UM AND HERE, MAYBE SOME NOT-EMO NOW. I paused halfway through writing this post and came back feeling less depressed, so... have the second cracky half without some nice transition because I'm too lazy to come up with anything nice.
Oh, and now that I've been in the spirit of picking up new series here lately, I finally watched the finale of Code Geass, didn't understand jack SHIT of what was going on because I couldn't remember any of the little subplots, went back and rewatched the two episodes before it, then the finale again, and then moved on to the six episodes thus far of season two. And I have to say, I forgot how much this show reminds me of other series. Seriously, like... take a CLAMP-ified version of the cast of Gundam SEED, moosh the themes and ideals of Death Note with the politics and GIANT ROBOT BATTLES OF DOOM of Gundam 00, and you've more or less got Code Geass.
I also forgot how incredibly hot CC is and how badly she and Lulu just need to get down to business already.
I also also remembered how my initial reaction to Spinzaku was noting how much it was like another certain meme out there and decided to make this:
